Princess Happy Hour & Buckets of Beer

Hi, heading on the Ruby Princess in a few weeks. It's been many years aince I've sailed on Princess. I'm not a big drinker, so no drink package for me. I do like an occasional beer. Does anyone know if any of the bars offer happy hour buckets of beer? We were able to do this on Holland a few times. We bought 2 buckets...6 Beers each and kept in our cabin refrigerator until we wanted to drink. With the happy hour discount it came out to about 5.00 a beer for Heineken, Stella, etc. So not too outrageous. Anything like that offered on Princess?

Maybe many years ago you might have found a afternoon or late night happy hour or buckets of beer on special. Right now, they are pushing everyone to the packages/bundles. There were no happy hours or buckets offered on our recent Emerald cruise. I think beers on board were $7 plus 18%.

Princess used to have happy hour and buckets of beer -- we took advantage many times to stock up our cabin fridge to enjoy later on our balcony 🙂  However, we haven't seen this in several years unfortunately.  Those options seemed to go away when they started pushing the packages with drinks included.

Sailed on the Sky Feb. 20 2023 and they had buckets of beer, five for the price of four.

You can ask when OB. I feel like I saw buckets  available on CB back in March. I wasn’t interested so the details didn’t register.

Yes, the 5 for 4 beer bucket deal lives! I was on the Crown in May and again in October and beer buckets were available at the upper deck bars, not Crooner's, vines or any interior bar. I tried. Selection may vary.

Bucket of 5 for the price of 4 beers was pretty much available at any time of the day at the outside bars.

No happy hours since they started with the drink packages. Used to love them.

Haven't seen beer buckets available on my last 5-6 cruises. Asked a bartender on the Enchanted last month why no more beer buckets and they claimed it's because too many passengers were taking the buckets themselves home as a souvenir
