Seekup Posted January 13 #1 Share Posted January 13 For those who have cruised out of Galveston, do you remember your position on the first day at sea? We have two sea days and then arrive at Roatan. I'm wondering when we will be abeam Miami and the weather will start to get warmer. We sail Jan 21 and it's forecasted to be 49 degrees (feels like 42). So I'm wondering how many cold weather clothes to pack. Same for the return!
cmich068 Posted January 13 #2 Share Posted January 13 (edited) 12:12pm on the return trip, final sea day and we're pretty much dead centre of the Gulf of Mexico right now Plenty warm for this Canuck but lots of seats open on the pool deck Edited January 13 by cmich068
Seekup Posted January 13 Author #3 Share Posted January 13 Thank you! So I'm guessing that when we head south it will be roughly lunchtime on the first sea day when we are abeam Miami. Hope you've had a great cruise.
ShipsandDipper Posted January 16 #4 Share Posted January 16 (edited) We are on second sea day headed south and stopped to help stranded fishing boat. Captain said we are 30-35 nautical miles from Cancun. It was mid-50s on Sunday in Galveston, mid-70s yesterday at sea, and about 80 and humid (though cloudy) now. and now a sudden rain shower has sent everyone scurrying off deck!
