RCI Happy hour rate showed up on Expedia

Recommended Posts

Didn't know if others had seen this but the happy hour rate (explorer 6/2 cat N, L) showed up as a 1 day rate on Expedia's website too, but not Travelocity's (my service). It was quite a discount at $400 less than I paid, but Travelocity wouldn't credit my account because RCI wouldn't acknowledge the rate publicly. Strange how it appeard on Expedia though since I thought RCI had a policy of no lower rate than their website's lowest advertised rate. Oh well, can't win em all.

This has happened for the last 3 weeks for our upcoming cruise. The price REALLY dropped today! My TA tried to get the refund for me, but the new price is a 24 hour price for new bookings only. Oh, well. There are still at least 7 cabins in my category, so I am hoping that a regular price drop will happen (again).
