Absent Parent Doc

Just got off the Glory. Mexico, Belize. Single mom, different last name from son. Had the letter from dad, didn't need it.

Flew to Mexico over Xmas, several people were denied boarding for not having a letter or not having it notarized.

Cruising is different. Fly to Belize, you need a passport. Cruise there, you don't.

The sad part about the majority of what is written here is that people take time to provide documents to satisfy some rule. Most of what people are providing does not PROVE what it says.

When someone notarizes a letter, they only acknowledge that signature. If I say these two kids are mine (on a piece of paper) and say this lady can take them out of the country, where is the proof they are my kids? There is none. The notary only affirms it is my signature. Period.

If the Dad disappeared after that drunken night, who would sign or provide custody letters?

It is so silly.
