Australia/NZ in March - what to pack?

Leaving in a few weeks for a 2 week cruise around Australia and NZ (with a week driving around NZ afterwards) and really have no idea what to pack.  Any suggestions/recommendations would be most appreciated.  Thanks!

Not been there but march will be going into the southern hemisphere autumn? So probably layers are your best bet much like northern Europe or alaskan summer.

Australia is a big place - so it really depends where you are going.

Tasmania weather will be vastly different from Darwin weather

Most of Australia will still be warm to possibly hot weather in March

NZ will be bit cooler - similar to Tasmania.
