Can you reschedule a specialty lunch before boarding?

I am sailing Icon in October. I just found out that they’re doing the seafood in the Windjammer on embarkation day for the entire first inaugural year. However, I already booked Giovanni’s for lunch for the first day at a good price. 
Is there a way to move my reservation to a different day without canceling it and rebooking it? Really would prefer to just move it since it is a higher price now.

Not until after you board. Only way as you tried is cancel and rebook before you board.

I had a 1245p Spec lunch reservation thinking I would be onboard the Icon earlier. My check-in time was/is 1230p. I cancelled and tried to reschedule later only to find out nothing was available, even though it showed available when I booked. I called and asked about it and I was told I should've kept my 1245p and gone to guest services and they would've accommodated. If they were unable they would still refund your money.
