Pacaya Volcano Hike

Hello!

I have been planning a 16 day Panama Canal cruise in October 2024 and have booked an excursion at every port except Puerto Quetzal. I am on a RCCL cruise (Radiance of the Seas) and have been wanting to do a Pacaya Volcano Hike and I know NCL offers the excursion (5.5 hours) but so far RCCL has not offered a similar excursion. I was wondering if anyone on a previous RCCL cruise has seen a similar excursion in the past or maybe if there is a local vendor that offers a volcano hike?

Have you booked anything for the volcano hike? I will be there with NCL in Dec 2024 but don't have that excursion offered. I found some listed through Viator, but it is difficult to find tours that will pick up at the port. I was hoping you had some luck and could give me some advice.

Unfortunately I was unable to find any 3rd party Volcano tours that would fit with our port hours and give me comfort to know we could make it back in time. I ended up booking an excursion directly through RCCL to go to Antigua and wander for a few hours. Not really what I was looking for in Guatemala but decided to settle for the safe bet.

We are still 7 months from departure! I will be working on finding a tour operator who will work with us and our port schedule. But my summer is extremely busy and I won't have time until late this month. When I find something I will post it and see if others are interested.
