Formal  night  is a white  DJ too much ?

As I don't  have  a black  one !

A white one will be ok 

On our Christmas and New Year Scandinavian cruise many of the men wore white or black DJs on the formal nights.  Also dark suits with bright bow ties and pocket handkerchiefs were a plenty
