Vibe Admitance

Recommended Posts

you swipe a card to get in. they give a wrist band, but after the first afternoon or so, virtually nobody wears them. the vibe staff is very good at quickly recognizing who belongs and who doesn't and people who don't belong will be asked to leave.

if they somehow manage to stay, they'll be busted when drinks are ordered, as the key card is coded for vibe access. and if somebody with legitimate vibe access lets somebody else borrow their card, they will be busted because the photo on the account will be different.

As stated, card access.  In December, wrist bands were not used on Viva.  Previously my experience is that wrist bands didn't need to be worn.

They are very good at getting to know who should and shouldn't be there.

How is access to the Vibe controlled?  Is it via a wrist band or to you swipe your key card to get in?

On Prima in Dec they asked for our room key on day 1 to verify that we had paid for access.  They put a smiley face decal on for easy verification on future visits.

On any given day we watched quite a few attempts to enter the vibe with no vibe pass.  The staff usually got to them within a minute or two and escorted them out nicely.

On Prima the vibe has a sliding glass door that requires key access.  Problem is after guest comes or goes it stays open for about 30 seconds.

We have not worn the wrist bands since the start and last month they did not even issue them on the Encore.  The NCL Vibe staff is also given a packet with everyone's pictures.
