livetravelcruise07 Posted March 28 #1 Share Posted March 28 We recently booked the Sailing the Caldera excursion in Santorini and we are curious if anyone has done it and how there experience was with it. It was a little pricey for only about 3 hours, but it sounds fun and different than any of the other excursions in Santorini! Thanks for the help!! lovethesealife Posted April 2 #3 Share Posted April 2 My husband and I did this tour a couple of years back. I don’t recall all the details, but I do remember that it was incredibly beautiful and probably the best excursion we did on our Greek Isles cruise. We even got to take a dip in the water, which was pretty cool but an awesome experience. I’d do it again if I had the chance.
mil76 Posted April 2 #4 Share Posted April 2 We spent a week in Santorini 2 years ago and did something similar (obviously not a ship excursion) and this was the highlight of our trip. Oia and Fira are so overwhelmed with crowds that this was a great way to escape the bedlam. 3 hours is probably good, since you'll still have time to explore Fira (and get an understanding of what I mean about the crowds).
