Wheelchair user Iona

Recommended Posts

I am new to using a powerchair and will be on Iona on 13 th April. I do not have accessible cabin as my chair folds to fit into ordinary cabin.  I have crutches but can only use for a few steps. I have a few questions. I am quite nervous of negotiating the inevitable crowds on such a big ship. I hope to swim, use the whirl pools, spend time drinking coffee and looking out to sea, listening to live music, enjoying afternoon tea and generally chilling in a cosy area with my family.

Is there somewhere safe to leave powerchair while in swimming pool? What sort of changing facilities are near the pools.

Is there a way to use main dining which doesn’t involve long queues

Quickest place from rear of deck five to smoking area - not for me, for my brother

Best hang out place for watching the world go by with coffee

Any tips for powerchair user from power chair user please.  Thank you in advance.
