Amazon cruise

  I have a cruise booked for February on Azamara, Buenos Aires to Barbados, including going to Manaus, Brazil.  I would love to hear any thoughts on cruising the Amazon and the ports on the river.

We did Amazon cruise 2 years ago and loved it. In Manaus we did a day with a guide from tours by locals who was excellent. 
for Santarem and Alter do Chao we used Gil Serique who has a Facebook page and website gilserique.com

This guy is a legend and knows everything about local wildlife, history and the environment. The best 2 days of the cruise we had with him
