Concierge kids snacks

You are so right all, I would never wish to cruise in the Queen's because you are segregated by class (MONEY). After 21 cruises, I have met some wonderful people with lots of money and some equally wonderful people who do not have a lot of money. Makes no difference to me how many dollars you have, WHO YOU ARE is what I look at. And breaking the rules is breaking the rules. I am sure if these same 14, 16, etc. year olds want to go into the casino and gamble, that would be fine with some parents also. But these are the same parents who will scream and sue the cruise line is their little darlings wind up in trouble.

All any is asking is for everyone to follow the rules. Read the letter you get from the Concierge and if you do not want to follow these rules, then you can said on another line or go and sulk by yourself.

We have two suites reserved on the Navigator in August and I was surprised to find out after I booked that 3 of the 10 of us will be unable to use the lounge after 5:00 p.m. But.....that's the way it is and we are going to have a great time. Instead of everyone being in the lounge before dinner maybe we'll take some food back to our balcony and enjoy food and drink there.

How would you know when you meet someone in the cl if they are in a suite or another type of cabin? If you ask, it is as rude as asking someone at a party what they do for a living before you decide to talk to them. The cl sounds like it is for pleasant social encounters. The snobs are probably sitting in the corners with scowls on their faces because no one is interested in them. I really hope the person who posted the "suites only" remark did not mean what he said.

I had my kids with me on the Navigator, and at the time they were 7 and 11. We had the late seating for dinner (8:30), and would always go into the Concierge Lounge with them prior to that so that my husband and I could enjoy a cocktail.

Maybe it's because they were quiet and well-behaved, but the concierge always welcomed them, offered them juice or soda, and never said a word to us about them being there.

I really think it all depends on the behavior of the children, to tell you the truth.

The staff rarely will comment to a customer who is braking the rules because they want your continued business and I guess they feel that you should be following the rules. I find that there are always people that are not following the rules no matter where you go. Usually it is simply the case that they did not know that there was a rule (which I'm sure was your case), but sometimes its because they think that they are the exception to that rule. A rule is made for a reason, and usually it is for the comfort of others. It is only proper manners to follow the rules and respect those people who are around you. If I were in the lounge I would have quitely and politely approached you and informed you that there was a no children after 5 rule and I am sure, being the well brought up and well mannered peron that I know you are you would have thanked me and left. It is really up to the passenger to be pro-active in matters such as these...in all honesty the crew is not in a position to do that unless it is a matter of safety. Thanks for listening.
