Family Harbor Suites

Recommended Posts

Has anyone ever booked a family harbor suite for only adults? I am looking at a cruise for myself, 25 yo daughter and 21 yo son. The family harbor suites are showing available but, in reading about them, it looks like they are designed more for families with young children.

Yes we have booked one, it just has different decor then access to a small “family harbor” lounge with snacks and coffee, breakfast (light) is also served there and video games for kids and toys. Just know that you will be surrounded by kids and they run up and down the hall screaming etc.babies crying  daily, I had kids when we did it so it was convenient for us but I would not do it again unless with small children.

Sorry to bring back a post,  @Umwakichwa could you hear the noise in the room? I'm looking to book one on the Vista Class as it has the aft Balcony. We will sail with our 5 year which has sailed 3 times already but I'm getting tired going to the buffet for snacks late at night or early morning. The only thing is my daughter sometimes gets scared of noise late at night. She did well on our last cruise on Utopia on a BWB right next to the speaker but was scared the first night.

Yes, you could hear the noise in the room allllll the time because many ppl decided that since it’s family harbor that means the hallway is a play place/tantrum place at all hours. Once I heard a kid crying and looked in the hallway to find a 2yo alone banging on the door across the hallway. You will have some good parents but….you will have typical American parents as well with all that  involves. Might I suggest, since it seems the snack convenience is the draw, did you know you can bring snacks? Including things like peanut butter and jelly/bread, pudding cups (they don’t need refrigeration) crackers, etc. and we brought little tubes of powder juice and reusable cups to make lemonade etc in the room. We literally take one small suitcase full of what we know the kids will eat so we don’t have to hike for food…..made life so much easier.

If you book the aft balcony, you will get very little noise. The hallway and lounge traffic won't go that far back, and the dining room is above you, so you won't get late-night noise from the galley. We stayed in a FH interior on the Panorama that was in the aft area and we didn't hear a peep the entire time.
