Door Decorations on American Song?

My husband and I are looking forward to our first river cruise. We're booked for the Columbia & Snake River cruise going East-to-West this summer. I'm doing a sister cruise next week with another cruise line and we've got door decorations for that cruise. 

1. Are door decorations a thing on ACL? We enjoy getting to know others on the cruise and engaging with other guests via door signs, etc. Will we be alone if we decorate our door?

2. Are the doors metal that I can use magnets?

 

Any other "fun" tips that bring the little "extra" for the trip?
