Ilovesailaway Posted May 17 #1 Share Posted May 17 Would I be able to get a solo table assigned for my early dinning time on Carnival Conquest? I have cruised solo before and only went to the dinning room once for dinner, but that was anytime dinning. I'm aware that seating with others or eating in the buffet is an option. I would prefer a sitdown meal solo. Thank you for any info...
jjow Posted May 17 #2 Share Posted May 17 If you want to sit alone the only way to guarantee that would be with Your Time Dining. If you choose an assigned dining time you will almost certainly be seated with other solo cruisers. You could go to the maitre d on day 1 of the cruise and request your own table, but it will be just that: a request. There’s no guarantee they’ll grant it. I’ve cruised solo several times and always choose Your Time Dining because I absolutely don’t want to sit with anyone lol.

I have found that if you are the first one to sit down at the table and put a pair of false teeth on your napkin in front of you plate, you are almost guaranteed to have the whole table all to yourself😉. 1

Daddyfto Posted May 18 #5 Share Posted May 18 Keep in mind your solo table is about two inches from the table next to yours. I had nice folks who would chat and others who didn't and I'm fine with both...
pinklucky61 Posted May 18 #6 Share Posted May 18 My experience as a solo cruiser on glory with FTTF. I went to MatreD on embarkation day, but he couldn't switch me to 2 top until second night for early seating. Next solo on Valor I did YTD, no problems getting 2 top. Just be aware that both cruises for sea day brunch, despite not touching the "share a table" I had to ask at check-in if I was getting a solo table. I think there's a glitch concerning sea day brunch on the app.
