rscima Posted June 15, 2004 #3 Share Posted June 15, 2004 The rewards M/C for Carnival is Capital One. We have one & have used some of the points for $$$ off the best price we can get. They're very easy to redeem. Dolphin 8/85 Norway 7/87 Ecstacy 6/96 Paradise 4/02 Sensation 6/04 (with the kids) Sensation 10/04 (WITHOUT the kids-WooHoo!) Lady_K Posted June 16, 2004 #4 Share Posted June 16, 2004 My card is also through MBNA, but it's not specific to any cruiseline. It's simply called "Cruise Rewards" (I think). I just got $500 off my recent Carnival cruise, though I believe you can use the points toward any cruiseline. The only catch is that you have to go through MBNA to book the cruise... it's actually a Carlson Travel office associated with MBNA. Worked out fine for us. They gave us the lowest price I found, then gave us the $500 credit. My only problem is now I can't wait to accumulate 500 points again so I can get another great cruise bargain! ChardonnayKJ Posted June 17, 2004 #5 Share Posted June 17, 2004 We're using both Capitol One and MBNA. WE had $1,000 off our cruise through Cap. one and then we used MBNA for cash toward our on cruise expenses. Either way it's nice to have all those bills work toward something fun. 6/27 Conquest let's party!
Stevie17 Posted June 17, 2004 #6 Share Posted June 17, 2004 I just contacted Capital One yesterday about this, and I was told that they no longer sponsor a Carnival Card. I'm not sure about MBNA. cantw82cruise Posted June 17, 2004 #7 Share Posted June 17, 2004 I just talked to Capitol one and the said they still have this program running. I have been using this card for about 3-4 years now. We had an MBNA before that but they gave up the Carnival and went to a any cruise type of card but it took a lot more to get the same discounts they were offering before. I got a number out of the Carnival brochure for Capitol One it's 1-800-499-4993 it's called Fun Rewards Program. Time before another living legend is made.
