some_body Posted May 21 #1 Share Posted May 21 Trying to decide if this is worth the upgrade. From what I can tell, since this is an older ship it has been sort of fit in best it can. My observations - Thermal Area - appears limited (again, older ship so completely understandable) Exclusive solarium - top deck 16 is reserved and it does look nice enough, but is that area a significantly better experience than any other deck? I've also seen that the nicer loungers are an upgrade fee on top of the Aurea fee. This is the best video I could find https://youtu.be/I79nBuZtCQM?si=HayH3nEB5ZJnE_fe Has anyone experienced this recently and can comment?
notley-cruise Posted May 22 #2 Share Posted May 22 Certianly don't buy Aurea experience on Musica and Lirica class ships just for the thermal area and sun deck. Spa area is poor compared to newer Fantasica and Mervaglia class ships, sun deck is way too windy on sea days, will you use it on port days ? Not aware of a fee for sun loungers. Aurea gets you anytime dining, priority on embarkation and disembarkation, but not ports. Cabins are the better located balconies and suites, there's no Yacht club on Magnifica. If you get a good price for the cabin via Bid Up or promotions go for it.
