Robooter scooter

Recommended Posts

Has anyone used a Robooter X40 onboard ship?  It's a great design but heavy to lift, and must use a handicapped cabin for door entry.  Otherwise it seems very attractive for cruise use.

It's not that big. At less than 2 feet wide, it should go through an ordinary door.

length: 1005mm (39.5") width: 590mm (23.25") height: 930mm (36.5")

But it is heavy at 41.8 kgs (92 lbs). This shouldn't be a problem on the ship but I wouldn't want to be lifting it into a car.

Yes, I know it's too wide for a regular cabin door.  On my last cruise I used a rollator which folded sideways, which was useful in not only getting through the cabin door but also getting past the steward's carts and the one four-wheel scooter that was left outside a cabin all the time.  I will have to have an HC cabin for this.  But I'm wondering if anyone has used a Robooter onboard and had any issues with the unique omnidirectional front wheels that don't swivel.  How has the Robooter X40 performed for you?
