Switched hotels in Vancouver

Recommended Posts

I changed my hotel choice from the Marriott Pinnacle to the Westin Bayshore.  Did I make a good choice?  I know the Pinnacle is closer to the port but the Westin looked to have such a beautiful setting.

It's a nice area and is lively during the summer.  Right along the Coal Harbour seawall overlooking the water with nearby greenspace.  A quick walk to Stanley Park.  While there are some retail and a few places to eat in house and in the immediate vicinity (with a few on the water), it's also quick walk to Robson and Denman streets which will have a lot more variety. Location-wise, if I was visiting in Vancouver, I'd be happy staying at the Bayshore (not that the Pinnacle is poor choice).

Nice hotel and nice area.  I think you make a good choice.

As an aside, Howard Hughes and his entourage ended up taking over the top two floors for six months less one day.  He would have stayed longer but over six months the Canadian government would want to start to tax him.
