mkdawnt Posted March 27, 2006 #1 Share Posted March 27, 2006 We are taking our 9 month old on his first cruise in 2 weeks. Any suggestions on toys to take with us? I would like to pack small items or even inflatable toys any suggestions? Also do you know if there is a luggage limit and weight, I am getting conflicting info. (we are not flying) Thanks
Lady Hop Posted March 27, 2006 #2 Share Posted March 27, 2006 We are taking our 3 kids on a cruise this Sept. Our daughter will be 10 months old. Anything can really be a toy to a child that little. I dont plan on cluttering my cabin with toys. She puts everything in her mouth already and I dont want her dropping toys and having to obsess over whiping them off. You can always pick him up something at the ports. It will be toys/souveniours for him all wrapped up in one.:D :D I'm a little freaked out about how traveling with an infant will be but were just gonna make the best of it. I hope you post about your experience when you get back. Enjoy your cruise.
Kerry's Girls Posted March 27, 2006 #3 Share Posted March 27, 2006 On the Princess cruise I just took with my year old twins, there was no weight limit. I also drove to the port, so I just taped the luggage tags onto three huge boxes full of diapers and other necessities and also onto their bouncy chairs (which were wonderful to have on board). I just checked everything at the curb and it was all delivered to the cabin. I stuffed toys into the diaper boxes that I didn't care if we lost and which I planned to leave for the children on shore. Blow up balls were a huge hit, but as the previous poster said, they also found lots to play with in the cabin (and especially loved sitting in front of the full length mirror). I did bring one new little toy each - something small that rattled and/or lit up. Have a great time. Best, Mia
