Carnival gift card redemption

I received a Carnival gift card after the cruise was paid for.  Is there a way to add it on the carnival site?

Not unless you are purchasing something.  No reason not to hold until you board ad apply against ship charges

No but you can add it to your onboard account once you board. Guest services or the kiosks can apply it. Enjoy!

Don't recommend this as it basically becomes use it or lose it. Would be better to apply gift card against any charges they have.

If you are not going to put a credit or debit card on file and do not have OBC, then @papajak is correct, Cruise Cash is a great way to pre-fund your on-board account.  This way you can get a drink or make purchases immediately once on board.

 

@CookieShip does give good advice, though.  Don't purchase more Cruise Cash than you will use.  My goal is to obtain enough Cruise Cash to get through embarkation day.  Then, throughout the week, I stop by the Guest Services desk or the kiosk in the late evening to add Gift Cards or cash when needed.

I always wait until I am on the ship and apply it at the customer service desk around 1am on the second or third night. The customer service reps are so bored that they are happy to see me.
