And especially if you are cabin picky!

I love that term! It might work better if you hyphenate it or remove the space.

I can hear you @POA1, Cabin-Pickyness if it can be measured, runs strong with us.  To satisfy DW, there's the list of requirements:

  • Cabins above and below
  • Balcony
  • Not rear facing - and not too far aft
  • Not to far forward
  • Not near elevators/stairs
  • Nor near crew work stations

Class-Pickyness has evolved:

  • First choice:  Pinnacle Class (note that also makes a VA cabin amidships possible without Deck 8 bing considered)
  • Second Choice:  Vista Class (Not a huge Tamarind Fan) - Seems less crowded than Signatures
  • Third:  R Class.  Once our favorite.  Perfect size, but hate paying for suite to get a balcony.

Keep Cruising

Just off Oosterdam Med cruise Sunday. It was sold out. Fair amount of kids on board which was nice for us as our 12 yr old DGD was with us and founds some friends. All the kids were very well behaved. The ping pong corner was very active and loud but that was due to the adults!! The ship  did seem very crowded.

Our kids say the same to us, so we now fly BC or FC and tend to stay at higher end hotels and suites in cruise ships. We call these trips SKI vacations, Spending the Kids Inheritance.

Hahaha.....hubby and I are in our 60's and never had children.  We fly first class and book a Neptune suite when sailing and don't have to worry about the kids inheritance!
