laurelguy Posted June 30 #1 Share Posted June 30 Hello SD lovers! Been following the weather and Hurricane Beryl. Very concerned for folks on Barbados and the Grenadines. This is a very powerful storm. We were just there in April and hope for the best as the storm passes Monday. Beryl is now the earliest Category 4 hurricane on record in the Atlantic Ocean and the only Category 4 storm ever recorded in the month of June.🙏 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

One thing I learned in 35+ years living in a Florida beach town often in the middle of the dreaded cone of probability is that there is never an "average" hurricane season. Always something unusual. Remember the season they ran through the alphabet and ran out of names? Not to diminish this monster at all just saying you can never rule out anything when it comes to tropical rotating storms.
