I LOVE RCI, but count your cruise credits carefully!!

Beware-I just found out by doing the math myself that RCI customer service shorted me over $1000 on cruise credit owed for a previously cancelled cruise. And if I wouldn't have pointed it out to them, it never would have come to light.

 

I had to do all the figuring myself, they refuse to give you an itemized breakdown of credits vs. monies paid, then they tried to tell me the correct credits had already been applied.

 

Well, after hours on the phone, plus the total run-around, I have finally been told that yes, the accouting dept. made an error, and that over $1000 of credit was not applied to my balance. I got way too many excuses, they are clearly aware that someone made a big boo boo!!

 

The worst part is that my final payment is due next week for the Freedom, and if I wouldn't have found the error myself, I would have over paid over $1000. Check, Check, then check again!!

 

I have been on the phone over an hour, and still not settled. I am now talking to the Executive Resolutions Dept., who has offered me a $50 on board credit to make up for the error.

 

My advice-check your invoices carefully, yourself, on an adding machine-they don't send you a breakdown separating credits from payments, so its kinda hard to tell what money came from where-but take the time to do it, they may owe you more than you think!!:eek:
