@scubacruiserx2 - thank you for your kind  offer re the patters. We have been to all the ports before except the Greenland calls so are familiar with Isafjordur . Good to hear you docked in Nanortalik,  I have the RIB tour booked for that day  . We have UK friends onboard with you so have been getting some updates through them when they have WIFI 😆 🤣.

@heatherb1958 You are welcome . We are at home currently so the link that I showed yesterday is the current cruise . Cruisemapper currently shows them in Nanotalk today until 1800 GMT , before returning to Southampton on the 13th . We are glad that they made it as we did have to miss a port on our cruise . Their current position is here .

After the photo walk I woke The Princess up and we decided to try out the Omelette Station for breakfast . After that was the Bible study and a 1100 meeting about the Chef's Table later that evening .

Princess did change the dates on our Chef's Table to a day later and we had 14 people at a big , long table , instead of the usual 10 .

The Casino was next after the theatre

My wife like to play this game to stimulate her mind - but not with her money . The only sign of passenger life that I saw at this time in the morning was ladies feeding the machines . For me , I remember a verse from the old song by the Guess Who  Colored lights can hypnotize , Sparkle someone else's eyes .

My new SIL likes to gamble but the bug has never bit us . However , we did let our oldest grandson play a similar game to this one below when he was about 7 on a Carnival Cruise . He was trying to win a set Beats headphones that were all the rage . And  darned if he didn't grab them in the claw and dropped them into the drawer . The drawer wouldn't open all the way and so we went and got the man that worked there . He refused to open the stuck drawer and told us that someone else had just won some on the last cruise . We told him that didn't matter to what was happening Now . When he still refused I told my grandson that it's the reason of why we don't gamble . Even if you win a game of chance or skill , people will still steal it from you . We found some new cruise lines after that .

The shops are on this level and have expanded into the Atrium area

I didn't notice this in the morning but that night was a Formal Night but didn't bring dress apparel but cold weather gear instead . We were going to eat casual at the buffet until we something that we liked at the Coral . We did want to take photos at the Captain's Champagne and the area was mobbed with access being blocked by stuff for sale and the photo backdrops .

The waterfall is no longer where you pour into the top glass and it cascades . Rather it is poured to the side with the angle of the photographer making it look as if it is still a cascade .

I seriously don't understand why Princess continues with the Champagne waterfall, should have gone long ago like like the Midnight Gala buffet and chocolate buffet on other lines .

We renewed our Silver anniversary vows on Golden Princess, been married 45 years now, at least on that cruise crew were walking around with free glasses of bubbles, not any more , it is all just a waste for a photo opportunity sadly.

Congratulations on your 45th !  We're sorry that we can't buy you bubbly on the thread but how about a balloon drop ?

We had tried to enlist others to do a private tour to Diamond Beach in the South of Iceland , but to no avail . We had spoken to Sultan with Iceland Paradise who agreed to take the long road there . We were suppose to meet at 0800 . The view of the church from the port

We were in port from 0800 - 2200 but Princess wanted back on the ship at 2130 . There was quite a line to get off the ship .

image.thumb.jpeg.32cb5dddde4be6fa71acd90fc85bc76b.jpeg

We finally made the Jail Break at 0815 and asked a man where to wait for private guides .

After about 15 minutes we asked the nice man on the shore to call our guide for us . He told us that he was stuck in traffic . We spied a WC across the street and washed our hands .

image.thumb.jpeg.98956788f001f0a29e0c2ccbe4cb9502.jpeg

We did call again but it was about 0915 before we left the port and we were off .

Sultan is married to a lady from Iceland and he was determined to make up time after we hit the open road by passing a lot . These photos we're shot while riding .
