Calling out to residents in Europe going on cruises to the Caribbean: insurance

Recommended Posts

Any recommendations for an insurance which covers me as best as can be if I decide to cancel my flight to Miami AND cruise in the Caribbean in a few weeks due to an impending hurricane?   I don't need medical insurance - just cancellation.

One thing that I know, from my personal experience with cancellation insurance, is that you must have purchased the insurance BEFORE the Hurricane is named and on the radar.

If you buy the insurance after a hurricane has been named and is being tracked it is a known element and you would not be covered.

You must call insurance companies and ask questions about this and get this done NOW before a hurricane that could preempt your vacation is named.
