cinnamon Posted August 10 #1 Share Posted August 10 This port has been added to our Celebrity cruise after the northern ports were cancelled after final payment. We have tours booked with other CC members in all our other ports. However, all the tours in Nagasaki involve going to the Memorial park. We will have visited the Atomic site in Hiroshima earlier in the cruise and we don’t want to go to the one here. How easy is it to just have a wander around in Nagasaki from the port? We are two ladies in our 70s so cannot do anything too energetic.

cinnamon Posted August 11 Author #3 Share Posted August 11 Thank you very much. Just the sort of thing I wanted to hear. Would a taxi up to the Glover garden be possible then we could walk the downhill back?

If you purchased a tram day pass, after you done other sightseeing, make Glover Garden as your last pit stop, you don't get off at O-Urakaigandori Station for the cruise terminal, but continue on to Ishibashi Station. You exit through Glover Garden front gate and walk 5-10 min back to cruise terminal. You will see some shops on your way back, try the Castella (カステラ, kasutera) is a type of Japanese sponge cake, introduced to Japan by Portuguese merchants in the 16th century
