kelkel2 Posted August 11 #1 Share Posted August 11 I feel like I can’t find anything recent on the conquest. We are booked for a quick getaway on a 4 night out of Miami on the Conquest. How’s the condition of the ship? I was thinking about booking the steakhouse, but haven’t been on an older ship recently. Is the steakhouse still worth it on the older ships? Is there still a cruise elegant night on a 4 night? What kind of deck parties?
matt082600 Posted August 11 #2 Share Posted August 11 I have not been on Conquest yet, but I also have a short cruise planned on her in October. You should have 1 elegant night on a 4 night cruise. I cannot speak to the steakhouse or deck parties unfortunately.
jsglow Posted August 11 #3 Share Posted August 11 We sailed on her for a 14 night Journey last winter. 1) The ship is 'fine' but understand that her 4/3 scheduling does have an impact. She is an 'un-upgraded' Conquest class boat built in 2002. She's assigned to that weekender itinerary slot for a reason. 2) The age of the ship is totally independent from the chef who prepares your steak. What I can tell you is that the venue is nice enough and that our steakhouse brunch last winter was excellent. 3) Yes, there's a cruise elegant night. 4) Deck parties are no different. They'll have a Welcome Aboard Sailaway and likely one more; CD's choice.
