Juneau- bus to Mendenhall w/4 ships in port

Hi all!  Okay, so I'm not big on booking excursions through the cruise line because they're ridiculously expensive. I had wanted to get on one of the many tour buses to Mendenhall, once in town, but with there being 4 cruise ships in port that day, do you think this will be taking a risk of not being able to get on one?  We get in at 11:00 & the other 3 arrive earlier.   Do you think I should play it safe & just book through NCL or you think there will be plenty? Thank you!!

I believe they are starting (or trying) to limit how many people can visit the glacier.  If I were you, I'd book through the ship for this one.
