How to cancel a cruise?

Thank you everyone for the information about the Mercury. Were it not for this forum, I would never have known there was a problem with norovirus and the Mercury.

 

My father and I are booked on the 4/7 sailing. Is there anyway to cancel now and still get a refund? do we need to wait until 4/7 and see what Celebrity does at embarkation?

I'm afraid you will just have to wait and see - you are past the refund stage.

I know that it's worrying; but there's a good chance for the episodes to be over by then. Usually the cruise lines are very good at getting a handle on it, but it's no joke for those poor unfortunates who do get sick.

 

Do you have cruise insurance? If your father has a limiting medical condition and could get a letter from his doctor, you might have a chance for a refund. At least ask.
