What bar should I use (with Cheers!) when staying in Excel Aft Suite?

Recommended Posts

Hi all-

I've splurged and booked an Excel Aft Suite on the Celebration. My husband and I are really going to use it as a private getaway for 7 days and not get off the ship nor leave our room/balcony except to go to the gym, dine, and of course...get drinks. With that said, we always buy Cheers – for folks that have stayed in these suites before, can you recommend a bar that you found was most convenient to go to and grab a drink throughout the day?

We are on Deck 11, so I imagine that The Watering Hole on Deck 8 and other bars on that deck should be sufficient, but does anyone know if they are typically open all day?

Thanks in advance for any advice. We do wish there was some sort of butler service for the price of the Excel Aft Suite to use Cheers, but hey, we don't mind running to get drinks if we have to 😁

Recently off B2B Celebration, and although sadly not in an Excel Aft Suite (although we looked - I'm jealous of that hot tub!), we did have an aft balcony on deck 10 and Cheers. I would consider Tides on 16aft, and Pig & Anchor on 8aft. There is also Tiki on 16mid, and 820 on 8mid. These have the longest hours in our experience. In the evenings there is Latitudes on 8, Alchemy on 7, Havana on 8mid, the Casino bar (7mid?), and a few bars around the Celebration Central area that seemed to have hours based on nearby activities. In our experience, the Watering Hole had very limited hours. Enjoy your suite!

Correction, I think Latitudes is on deck 6.

Hubby and I were in a 15th deck Exel Aft Suite on the Celebration in May and spent all our sea days and a good part of our port days on the balcony. The suite and balcony are fabulous beyond words, you will love every minute! I had Drinks On Us Everywhere from the casino and hubby did not so all the drink running was up to me.  Even though we were just below the lido deck bars which we loved by mid day on sea days they were packed. I would take the aft elevators down to deck 8 to get the drinks. Pig & Anchor is the closest but it is a hangout bar for regulars. All the bar stools are usually taken and the bartender pretty much ignored me. The Watering Hole outdoor bar in the aft area was good and sometimes no wait at all. Although it was a bit more of a walk Bar 820 was my favorite. I usually went to indoor side but they have an outdoor bar also.

We did a B2B and were in an extended balcony the first week. I posted a review if you want to check it out. There are a lot of pictures of the suite. Have a wonderful time, I know you will! Edited  to add I tried to add a link to the review but I can’t get it to work. If you click on ships above you can find it in the Celebration file.
