Using Cash for S&S

Those of you who have used cash for the S&S: Do you go to the Pursers desk 1st thing? Is the line really long? Thank you.

They will let you charge the first day without your deposit so if the line is long, wait and go back.

When we went first day the line moved very fast. The longest time we ever waited in line at the pursers desk was 10 minutes. We posted cash and than realized we spent more than we intially posted in account and had to deposit more. We were not notified we had gone over, so be sure to watch your balance.

Another way to pay with cash is to give them a credit card number at the beginning. However, when you get your bill, go to the purser's desk on the last day and pay with cash. I did this on the VIctory last year...our cc bill wasn't too big, decided that I would rather pay it then instead of having it on a bill. There was only one person in line on the last morning, so it was a swift process. Nothing ever appeared on my credit card bill.
