ETA Requirements date is being finalized

For those who can’t or don’t want to click on the link, this is very important information for anyone planning to visit the UK next year.

 

For most non-Europeans, including Americans and Canadians, you will need an ETA (electronic travel authorisation) to fly to the UK from 8 January 2025. You can apply from 27 November 2024. It costs £10 and lasts two years, and is valid for multiple visits during those two years (or when your passport expires, if that’s sooner).

 

For Europeans, ETAs will be required from 2 April 2025. Applications open on 5 March.
