Loreto excursion to Coronado’s Island

We will be arriving in Loreto on Nov. 5th, and I would like to do a 4-5 hour boat trip to Coronados Island, but hesitant to prepay since the ship doesn’t tender until 8:00, and most of the independent tours start at 9:00. (Knowing Princess excursion customers get off first) Does anyone know if you can just get off the tender and book one of these tours the day of arrival? And if anyone has been on this excursion, I’d love some feedback/ thoughts. To book it through Princess, it costs almost twice as much as booking independently.
