bluelghttr Posted August 21, 2004 #55 Share Posted August 21, 2004 ok here goes my guess Since carnival has been an industry leader i am going to say Carnival Liberty goes to the west coast, to be the first Mega liner stationed there Leaving from long Beach doing Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, Cabo San Lucas, in the winter and doing the alaskan run in the summmer Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway, Cruising Inside Passage again becoming the first mega liner cruising that itinary which is just fine by me then they can send back through the panama canal either the Carnival pride, or the spirit the us here on the east coast, My personal FAV Mitch
Host Caroline Posted August 22, 2004 Author #56 Share Posted August 22, 2004 Mitch:) : I like the way you think!! Maybe that will happen after next fall but I'd be surprised if they would bring her over and sail her thru the canal in November/December but you never know.. I would definitely like to see an Inside Passage cruise in Alaska on Carnival! so is this your official guess???? :D

Guest Crazeecat5 Posted August 28, 2004 #61 Share Posted August 28, 2004 I think the Liberty will continue to do the Med. in the Summer and then will relocate to Los Angeles where it will do the Hawaiian islands, returning to LA. Anyway DH and I just booked the Med cruise for Aug.1, 2005. Anyone want to join us? Sheryl
Paladin Posted August 28, 2004 #62 Share Posted August 28, 2004 It is unlikey that the Liberty will be sailing from anywhere on the left coast, including Alaska and Hawaii. She is a Conquest class ship so she won't squeeze through the Panama Canal, even if they lather KY jelly on her hull. We sailed the Pride through the canal and there was barely one foot clearance on each side. I suppose they could always take the long way around which would make for an interesting repositioning cruise.

Aloha_Jackie Posted September 11, 2004 #67 Share Posted September 11, 2004 My Carnival Europe 05 brochure shows Liberty in Ft Lauderdale on 11/9 with one stop in St Mararten, I wonder if they will like it so much that on their itinerary that they will want to make it part of their return itinerary??? The brochure states that she's "big, bold, beautiful and easily Europe's most fun-loving superstar" - 12 day Grand Med looks totally cool!

emerald777 Posted September 12, 2004 #69 Share Posted September 12, 2004 OK...First let me preface this by saying Boooo Hisssss CBS! Why do you keep preempting Big Brother????? Anyway, since BB isn't on, I had the bright idea of checking port schedules to see if the Lberty was actually already scheduled for any. I figured they have to negotiate those things pretty far in advance. I knew it would be a long shot, but thanks to Grand Cayman being the most organized port on the face of the earth, I found one! On 24 November 2005, the Carnival Liberty is scheduled to dock in Grand Cayman!!!!!! So, using my powers of deduction, I have deduced that the week we plan on sailing Liberty, it will be on an Eastern Itinerary! Which means WE won't be going to Grand Cayman, but at least we now have ONE port on her schedule! So Caro, do I win anything??????? How about 1 free slot pull in the casino?? On a nickel machine??? dawnc Posted October 9, 2004 #72 Share Posted October 9, 2004 Carnival announced the ports, who was closest? It looks like a hard call. It doesn't seem like anyone was expecting 3 different itineraries for this ship!
