Be wary of the tender location

Just returned from the Grand Princess, cabin P321. Great location, just off the art gallery and steps from the grand atrium, which made getting to the purser's desk, shore excursions desk, "anytime dining" rooms and shopping very easy. It was a low floor and mid-ship, so when the Gulf of Mexico had 40 MPH crosswinds, we were barely aware of the rolling. The drawback was we were right above the tender deck, and every port day at 6:00am an annoying grinding sound woke us, and continued for about 15 minutes. Needless to say, we were then up for the day. If I would do it again, I'd investigate the tender loading area and book the opposite side of the ship.
