It looks as if X has made me and my post obsolete. They are giving you the cruises the same days they are giving them to me. There used to be a two week difference. I will keep my eyes open, but I expect them to keep up.

Interestingly, still nothing for Century in Europe. I am beginning to wonder if she is not going to Europe in the Summer of 2007, but I am sure we will have our answer very soon.

Someone on another thread mentioned that Millennium now has a drydock date of March 18, 2007, and some sailing dates around that time were cancelled. I thought you would want to know this.

 

I find this quite interesting. Millie just had a drydock in November. There are quite a few ships in line ahead of her for DD. If it was one or two weeks you might think charter, but with this who knows. It will be something to keep an eye on. Maybe the lousy itinerary has caught up with her and they are looking to make a change. Maybe do a two month run from another port. Read the boards, Jacksonville and Baltimore are possible canidates for a change, maybe even Philly. Or could be the start of them preparing the Galaxy and Mercury for drydock? Both are long overdue

The Millennium drydock is interesting, I agree. You are right, that perhaps it could be a charter, but I am not sure of that.

 

The only thing we know of the Caribbean season so far, is it looks like Century will be in the Caribbean next Summer. If true, will it be short sailings ? 7-10 night sailings ? Out of Ft Lauderdale ? Miami ? elsewhere ? We will have to wait and see.

 

This is one of the few rumors that I heard on a ship, that looks like it actually turned out to be true. When I was on Century a few weeks ago, I did hear that she would go back to being in the Caribbean Year Round. I do feel this is a very good move (if true).

 

While I do not think we can confirm this yet. It does look to be the case. I am sure we will know more soon. Stay Tuned.

Interesting.... In one area of Celebrity's website, it shows Century in the Caribbean in Summer of 2007, and now they have European Cruises itineraries coming up as of tonight. I guess she is going back to Europe after all.

Does anyone know what the Constellation is doing in between the June 16th and July 21st cruises? They are showing a gap on the Celebrity website. Is it Drydock?

I noticed this gap also yesterday and immediately contacted my TA to see if she knew anything about this issue. I had the same thoughts concerning dry dock. My TA stated there was no way the Constellation would be in dry dock in Europe. Celebrity "dry docks" in the Caribbean. I do know that the Constellation has a 7-day charter that ends up in Stockholm on July 21. This leaves a gap between 6/30 and 7/14 which is anyone’s guest of where she will be. However, the puzzling thing is she is schedule to sail from Copenhagen on 7/14 according to my TA who sometimes has insider information. I was hoping that on 6/30 she would sail the 14-day Norwegian Fjords/British Isles itinerary round trip Dover, which she has done at least once a year for some time now, but if she is in Copenhagen on 7/14 does not look like that is going to happen. Bummer!!

Hello everyone, baesue here. I've been reading this board and the information is very infomative. I have looked at the Celebrity website as suggested and I can't seem to find any information regarding British Isles cruises for summer 2007. I see postings for the Constellation but that does mostly the Russian itinerary. Not interested. Does anyone know if Celebrity plans on doing the British Isles? If so, where can I find the infomation.

Unfortunately it's a crystal ball as to whether or not Constellation will or will not do her usual annual 14-day Norwegian Fjords/British Isles cruise in July '07. Only Celebrity knows for sure and their not telling anyone including the TAs. At this point I am so bummed out about this because my wife and I have been planning to do this particular cruise since our lst cruise on the Constellation last October to New England. She is a great ship!! However, since there is no pricing (and no bookings are being taken) on Celebrity's Website for '07, perhaps we may get lucky and Celebrity will switch one of Constellation's July '07 Baltic itinerary cruises to the Norwegian itinerary. One can always hope!!

 

If this desired cruise does not "pan-out" the only alternative is to hope RCCL will do the same cruise in '07 that they are presently offering on the Jewel for this year. Princess's Grand itinerary is out for July 2007, but the Grand does not go to the Fjords so I have no desire to book her.

I tend to agree with you about the Century, if you've been on the Constellation, the Century will be a let down. Although my wife and I have never been on the Constellation, we have been on her sister ships, the Millie, the Summit, the Infiniti. A few years ago we were on the Century. There is no comparison.

 

We also looked at the Princess Grand itinerary for July, 07 and it does look nice but we would rather stay with Celebrity. Will have to wait and see what they have to offer. Will also wait to see what RCCL is offering. Definately do not want to consider Holland America.

Hi Bob,

 

We did the RCCL Jewel of the Seas British Isles/Norway trip last June. It was amazing and the Jewel is a fantastic ship. We have friends who booked the same trip for this June. If you are interested in this, book it as soon as you can because the prices move up rapidly and never look back. This is a very popular cruise because it is one of the only ships that do it. June is better than July if you are interested in all the waterfalls in Norway. We were told that by the end of July most of them have dried up. Enjoy!

I found it VERY interesting that Celebrity pulled ALL of the May - November 2007 Europe itineraries off their website today (as of 11 am today). The latest bookings available are back to April 2007.

 

Could they be making changes ? Or are they tired of everyone calling, and asking about them, as they were not available to be booked yet.

 

Does anyone have any thoughts about this ? Rick, where are you ? :)

Interesting that RCCL did the something today...could be that both cruise lines are pricing Europe 2007. I was highly disappointed that Celebrity did not have the Connie doing the 14-day Norwegian Fjords/British Isles in 2007 as they have done for years. I am ever hopeful that since Celebrity has pulled its 2007 European sailings today they maybe reconsidering this itinerary.

I just noticed they pulled it too. IT was still there this morning. Maybe they finally got the maps drawn up and are just updating. Maybe they're going to add pricing. Or MAYBE they are rearranging the schedule.

 

All I know is that every other cruise line has their Med 2007 cruises open for booking...and it's getting a little annoying. Seabourn has even opened up 2008 bookings already!
