Hmmmmm. That's interesting. For the period April 2007 to end of the year, all but one QE2 cruise starts and finishes in Southampton. Me thinks that Cunard is no longer keen to arrange 'air' for UK pax. (Unless it's QM2 and New York).

Looking briefly through it all - there's not a lot in there that would interest me. I'm fed up to the back teeth with Funchal, Tenerife and Las Palmas and all that Med stuff. There's a few trans atlantics on QE2, but even that's been cut down to mostly four days at sea. And some of the cruises really are 'a port a day' - but then I suppose that's what the majority *must* want. Not me. I want to be at sea as much as possible.

I may have to experiment with Oceania - who do repositioning cruises from South America to Europe - a whole 11 days at sea. Admittedly - at 18 knots it's not so much fun as 30 knots.....

@skippyyyy

look at the QE's med-trip in July 07, maybe this is interesting enough for you, a new island called Iceland within the Mediterranean Sea. I hav'nt heard of it bevore, but rumors said that the city of Isafjodur looks a bit nordish. icon12.gif

8 Sun Southampton, England Depart 5:00 pm

9 Mon Cruising the Atlantic Ocean

10 Tue Cruising the Atlantic Ocean

11 Wed Isafjordur, Iceland 8:00 am - 6:00 pm

12 ThuCruising the Mediterranean Sea

13 Fri Messina, Sicily, Italy 8:00 am - 6:00 pm

14 SatCruising the Mediterranean Sea

Anyway I enjoy these Cunard threads, they would be even better without all the "negativities" in some of them.

so carry on to add a little more fun.

Just booked the 6/25/07 QM2 transatlantic (Le Havre--Southhampton--New York) with my wife for our anniversay. This will be our first Cunard cruise.

Congratulations! ... and welcome to the wonderful world of Cunard!

Thanks highcbob. It is our 10th anniversary and we wanted to take a nice trip without the kids. We have done Disney Cruise Line twice and Royal Caribbean once. I've always wanted to do a transatlantic and I really like the nostalgia of liners modeled after the great ones of the 1930's.
