travelstamp Posted April 10, 2006 #1 Share Posted April 10, 2006 We are thinking of taking a Costa Cruise out of Savona. What is the best way to get there from Rome? I would imagine that airfare would be less expensive to fly into Rome. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
2Scots Posted April 10, 2006 #2 Share Posted April 10, 2006 Hi - we took a train from Genoa to Rome last February. It was very easy to do. I would think if you flew into Rome and took a train to Genoa and than another train to Savona.... pretty easy. We met some people that did just that. We just took the trip from Genoa to Rome but a very nice ride of 4 to 4 1/2 hours. 1st class seating. Good Luck and try it it is not a difficult thing to do if you are saving money flying into Roma. BTW - we cruised the Costa Fortuna and it was fantastic! 2Scots
