Norwegian Spirit or Carnival Legend out of NYC?

Hey all,

 

I was hoping for a little bit of advice.

 

I am planning on taking my girlfriend on a cruise departing out of NYC in the last week of May. The three cruises I was looking at were Royal Carribbean's Explorer of the Seas, Carnival's Legend, and Norwegian's Spirit. I have narrowed it down to Norwegian or Carnival since the cost for a balcony room falls into my budget.

 

I have been on a few cruises (Celebrity, Carnival, NCL) but it has been more than 5 years since my last cruise. My girlfriend has never been.

 

The question is, being that I am 30 and she is 27 and we are both working adults with no children that are looking for more of a relaxed intimate setting, which cruise would be better? I know either cruise will be a great time, but will one be more prone to obnoxious drunks or kids running rampant? Or if you think I should pick a totally different cruise, you can share that advice too.
