Downtown And Shopping Close To Pier?

We are going to be in Curacao for a day, planning on going to Kontiki Beach in morning and then maybe would like to go back to ship for lunch, clean up a bit and wonder around the downtown area for some shopping or to a pub if it is close to the Pier? Any ideas? :)

We were just there last week. You can see the town area from the ship, so yes it is very close. You take a ferry (free) just across the water and there you are. Enjoy!

We're just back from Curacao last week also. If you're looking to purchase some of the Curacao liquors, we found that the blond lady, with the booth at the end of the pier, had prices equal to or better than any in town. She had a big assortment of flavors, with plenty of free samples. You can purchase right before returning to the ship so you don't have to lug the stuff all over town.
