QM/QE2/QM2 Comparison

Wandering round the internet, as one does, I came upon a fascinating site which has models of ships....here's a comparison of three of Cunard's Queens:

And here's one of the Queen that Never Was....the LAST Cunard Transatlantic (only) liner, the Q3:

Other delights are to be found, including that rarity, a triple screw Aquitania....and an exploration of what the Normandie's fleetmate, the Bretagne might have looked like.....enjoy!

If you want some killer interiors look up the SS Columbus of the North German Lloyd line and some early stuff on the Lancastria and the Cameronia etc. That was when public rooms were really elegant. Hiowever only a very few got to enjoy them as the bulk of the passengers were in steeage or third class. And even in many first class staterooms the bath was down the end of the hall but they would bring hot water to the room. Guess we can't have it all.
