cberge Posted April 13, 2006 #2 Share Posted April 13, 2006 Does anyone know if Marco Polo lines provides a water taxie in Venice at the port? I doubt the ship would provide a water taxi...where is it you want to go? I would post this on your cruiseline message board as well as the Europ Board. wwinfl91 Posted April 13, 2006 #3 Share Posted April 13, 2006 Many cruise lines provide waterbus (vaporetto) service from the docks to the San Marco square area. On Princess we were charged $10 per person for as many trips as we needed during the day we docked. They would not let you take luggage on these special waterbuses so they are not an option to get from the ship to a hotel. Water taxi service is available from the port area but you will have to pay for that (probably 40 euros and up depending on where you are going). But usually you get there very fast. Have a great next cruise.
