Has anyone every been in a class 9A room on a spirit class ship? We are going to be on the fifth floor and they have told us that the view will not be obstructed, but we just want to make sure.

Thanks,

5241 and 5243 are slightly obstructed. Lifeboats come to the balcony plexiglass. But is between two life boats and not as bad.

6277 & 6279 are better but you still will not be able to look down intot he water.

Type "9A" into the search and you will get tons of information, there is at least one thread on this page already...

DAvid- the poster is NOT asking about the wrap around cat 9A.

I need to go on a Spirit class, I have such limited knowledge - thanks for setting me straight!!!

at least once you should experince one of every class. Spirit class is sooo very different from every other carnival ship in the fleets.

Hi,

My husband and I have booked a seven day Alaskan cruise for May of 2007 and will be on the Spirit. We have balcony room 5169, category 7A for $950.00 (military rate) per person. This includes taxes and port fees. I was told our view out, left, and right will be fine, but we will not be able to see directly below us because there is a lifeboat there. Has anyone had a similar balcony? Do you think we will be disappointed? I would really like to hear from someone who has actually "been there, done that" but will welcome any and all opinions.

Thanks a bunch,

Gale

Gale- the life boats are even with your balcony railing. Some are better then others. (cabins between the lifeboats)

5169 is also a connecting cabin-- if you do not need the cabinnext to you-- I'd consider moving to another.

5236 is thee best balcony you can get in that category-- see if that one is available.

5142 -has the less obsrtuction.

5190-91 are also good cabins but they hold 3 / 4 passengers.
