martdm Posted April 16, 2006 #1 Share Posted April 16, 2006 We stayed at this hotel last Saturday night before our cruise and just wanted to report back that we were very happy with it. The room & facilities were very nice and appeared to be fairly new. The staff was very friendly & accomodating. They have a free airport shuttle that runs until midnight but, since we arrived later than that, we took a short taxi ride from FLL to the hotel. Their port shuttle service in the AM is very efficient & quick (they have a sign up sheet at the front desk for a variety of departures throughout the morning). There are some commuter rail tracks in front of the hotel that create some noise. We are medium sleepers and, other than a train that went by at 1am when we were just turning in, we weren't disturbed by the trains even though our room faced the tracks. The trains did seem to increase in frequency throughout the morning rush hour so if you plan to sleep in or are a light sleeper, I'd definitely recommend requesting a room on the opposite side of the building from the tracks or perhaps accepting the ear plugs the hotel has available for guests to use. dcruisers Posted April 17, 2006 #2 Share Posted April 17, 2006 We were considering this hotel. Thanks for the info! How much was it and did you book through the hotel?
martdm Posted April 18, 2006 Author #3 Share Posted April 18, 2006 Sorry, I don't have any pricing information. I did book directly through Marriott.com but I booked the room using my Marriott points so there was no charge for us.
