mr green Posted April 17, 2006 #3 Share Posted April 17, 2006 Take a large set of deck plans with you, any provided by cruise ships are usually too small. The trick is to memorize them if you can, before you sail, it saves a great deal of time. john
prairie_fox Posted April 17, 2006 #4 Share Posted April 17, 2006 http://www.cruisedeckplans.com/DP/home1.htm these may be helpful to find your deck plans, there is also a thread about what to bring listed under http://***************/pack_it.htm it has one for each family member, that can also be useful. Hope that helps with your book.

texas greeneyes Posted April 18, 2006 #7 Share Posted April 18, 2006 I made a binder for us for our cruise last year. I spent a lot of time researching and gathering information from this website, the cruise line's website, and several other cruise-oriented sources. I compiled all that information into the binder. Below is the Table of Contents from the binder to give you an idea of the information I included. Keep in mind that this list is specific to the cruise line, cruise ship, and ports of call on the cruise I chose, but can be easily modified to fit your cruise. Let me know if you want more specifics regarding any of the topics I included. Hope this helps! Table of Contents Packing List Luggage Policy How You Can Be Contacted on the Ship “Before You Go” Tips Final Days “To Do” List First Time Cruiser Tips “Good 2 Know” Miscellaneous Information Embarkation Information Sail & Sign Card Tipping Policy Cabin and Cabin Steward Camp Carnival Kid’s Program Laundry Rooms Casino Photos Waterslide, Pools, and Whirlpools Gift Shop Medical/Infirmary Internet Café Beverage Price List Beverage Information Room Service Information Room Service Menus Dining Room Sample Breakfast Menu – Main Dining Room Sample Lunch Menu – Main Dining Room Sample Kid’s Menu – Main Dining Room Sample Seven Night Dinner Menu – Main Dining Room “The Point” Supper Club Menu - $30 per person surcharge Paul’s Deli Su Mer Seafood PC Wok Chinese Food Pizzeria Menu Glossary Ship Spa Review of Montego Bay` BlossomGarden Children’s Home SunsetBeach, Montego Bay, Jamaica – Activities SunsetBeach Spa Margaritaville Captain Marvin’s Watersports Georgetown, Cayman Islands Map Georgetown, Grand Highlights Tour Cozumel, Mexico Sub-Ocean View Excursion Cozumel, Mexico Map “Carnival Capers” Daily Program & Activity Guide (From July 31, 2005 Sailing) I forgot to mention that I tucked a couple of wallet-sized deck plans in the pockets of the binder. That is also where we stored all of our travel documents and ID's.
