gtalum Posted April 17, 2006 #3 Share Posted April 17, 2006 Yeah it's weird. It's just an empty hallway. We never saw another passenger in there the few times we were down there.
crisp1 Posted April 17, 2006 #4 Share Posted April 17, 2006 Yeah it's weird. It's just an empty hallway. We never saw another passenger in there the few times we were down there. I actually liked the place. The deck actually rolls up and down like a garden path, there are ceiling fans, numerous tables for two, trellisses, along with circular windows. It could be a nice quiet palce for a drink with a loved one. Only if they get rid of all the teens that hang out there. They think it's their space ( the game room is at the end and up a deck ;))
AppleValleyCruisers Posted April 17, 2006 #5 Share Posted April 17, 2006 If you can't find your teen anywhere else on the ship, try there. We saw a couple of young couples "talking" there;) Other than that, not a lot that we saw. edit- sorry Crisp, I just read your post and I think you are saing the same thing... derf5585 Posted April 17, 2006 #6 Share Posted April 17, 2006 What happens in Gatsby's Garden? We traveled with a couple with a seeing eye dog. I said great there is a garden aboard so the dog will feel at home.
Donnask8pro Posted April 17, 2006 #7 Share Posted April 17, 2006 I agree, weird place. Never saw anyone there either. Quiet if you want to hide from someone. Right next to the stairs for the arcade. I do think the decor was cool though. Ü
Big-Bald-&-BellyButton Posted April 18, 2006 #8 Share Posted April 18, 2006 My daughter and her friends quickly began calling it "the garden". Yes, they did hang out there as a group, I hope they behaved when adults were around. It leads to the arcade and Pinochio's, basically the onboard daycare. Technically it is a service access for the main show room that has been turned into a usable space. The kids sit in the portals.
derf5585 Posted April 18, 2006 #9 Share Posted April 18, 2006 The kids sit in the portals. Etymology: Middle English, from Middle French, from Medieval Latin portale city gate, porch, from neuter of portalis of a gate, from Latin porta gate from http://www.m-w.com/dictionary/portal
Nicole721 Posted April 18, 2006 #10 Share Posted April 18, 2006 I went down there quite a bit on our Miracle cruise and NEVER saw anyone else. I found it a rather peaceful place (great place to have a cup of coffee and look out the portholes) but since no one was ever there, going down there at night was a little eery. emmysmommy Posted April 18, 2006 #11 Share Posted April 18, 2006 We were down there in the "garden" - but it was our muster station. Station B!!

MrPete Posted April 22, 2006 #13 Share Posted April 22, 2006 It's also touted as the indoor part of the promenade. You can walk all the way around the ship on deck three. I don't like that sometimes they close the sliding glass doors that takes you from outside to inside, and vice versa. When they do, you're forced to walk inside and around.
