THE MALL - EXCLUSIVE DESIGNER SHOPPING OUTLETS 27km FROM FLORENCE

Recommended Posts

Its chic and sleek, feels like satin and hangs like silk. Its a simple classic and as I pose in front of the full length mirror, I look and feel, the business.
The real beauty of it is that I'm actually looking forward to checking the price tag - because this is The Mall, the place where Italy's fashionistas come to get their chic on the cheap.
The Mall is possibly Italy's worst kept secret - its one of Europe's most exclusive designer shopping outlets, just 27km from Florence. Here you can buy Gucci, Armani, Yves st Laurent, Valentino, Zegna et all at cut-throat prices - anything up to 80% down on the original RRP. A bargain Ungaro jacket for 550 Euros which will last a lifetime and look good with anything. In Yves St Laurent everything's up for grabs at half price at least, with loads of stuff for £20. Pairs of white cottom or black silk poplin skinny pants (reduced from £104) silk ties and even shoes. I spot a black Nappa leather pencil skirt for £262 and a to-die-for pair of kid leather trousers for £312 down from £902! On to Gucci. It's a great place to stock up on prezzies - watches at half price, jewellery, sunglasses, clutch bags & belts. Much here is from this year's collections. She who hesitates lost. That's what it's all about. Smash and grab. Who dares, wins, Darwin rules. There are no 2nd chances at The Mall. Don't stand back for a moment to consider or a hand reaches out and whips it away!
The Mall, Via Europa 8, Leccio Reggello (00 39 55 865 7775) www.outlet-firenze.com Call for details of shuttlebus pick-ups from hotels in Florence (25 Euros) or take a train to Rignano Sull'Arno and taxi to Leccio.
Try not to go when there is a bus load of Japanese just offloaded or you'll be there all day.
Happy shopping!

We are going to visit the mall, Fendi & Prada on our day trip to Florence. I wonder if there is always a long wait to get into the stores. We will be there on a Sunday and have only 2 hours the most to shop.

Thanks.
