Gyms on board miracle - dress requirements.

We used the gym 5 out of the 7 days on the Miracle, and I only saw a staff member in there 2 times. Once, a gal was handing out flyers for a class in the aerobics studio, and the other day, a trainer was talking to a guy about a weight program. I'm not sure anyone would even notice whether you were wearing shoes, sandals or whatever.

Leaving on the Miracle Sunday and wasnt really planning on bringing tennis shoes but would like to lift some weights in the gym. Are gym shoes required in there or are sandals/shorts ok ?

Thanks

Why would you want to lift weights while wearing sandals? Heading to the infirmary for a broken toe is not how I would want to spend my cruise.

Pack some gym shoes.

Do you actually think that tennies are going to provide some sort of protection if you drop a set of weights on your toes compared to sandals?

Maybe if you were wearing steel-capped boots.

Cheers,

Peter

Well, no, whether you are wearing tennis shoes or sandals would matter very little if you dropped some dumbbells on your foot.

But if you are on the bike, or the treadmill, and you slip, it's a lot easier for your toes to get stuck in the machinery if you are wearing sandals than if you are wearing sneakers.

OUCH. Sandals in the gym =
